When you meet a blind dog, they, for the most part, strike you as being able to see.
This is because dogs are amazing. They couldn't care less about the loss of their sight.
They're too busy sniffing around, running after other dogs, barking and just being themselves.
But this is a nice tag to use.
Especially good when meeting new people for a pat, since your dog won't react to anyone approaching, or might even be looking the other way.
It also helps explain a lot of strange behaviour in general.
Like walking into walls, barking at nothing (because the dog already passed by), and treating street curbs as if they were sheer cliff faces...

This is the one you put on that 7 pound toy breed with the sharp teeth that everyone thinks is so adorable. The one that's tasted more blood than Dracula.
But seriously. There are plenty of reasons why you might want people to avoid your dog. Aggression from fear is only one.

Not all dogs, if any, appreciate you running up to them and placing your hand above their head, without letting them have a good sniff first to see that they're OK with it.
Some dogs however, simply aren't comfortable with you getting close or touching them at all.
These are the "snowflakes" of the dog world. If you touch them, they melt.
So just let them slowly float down and land on your jacket instead.
In other words. Let them come to you.

I was told early on that a REACTIVE tag would never sell, since owners of reactive dogs seldom agree that their dogs have any behavioural condition.
But being reactive ain't the same as being bad. It takes all kinds to make the dog world an interesting place.
A reactive dog is simply a combustible mix of nerves and excitement. A combination too potent to control.
So wear the tag proudly, and let others know that there might be some barks, jumps and lunges incoming if they get close.
